Compensation: $24.00-$26.00/ hourly

Who You Are:

The Accounts Payable Staff Accountant is responsible for overseeing and processing accounts payable (A/P) vouchers according to Catholic Charities accounting policies. The Accounts Payable Staff Accountant must practice good judgment when reviewing A/P vouchers and invoices and when releasing the funds of the organization. Good communication with the Accounting Manager and other accounting staff, as well as following GAAP guidelines is required.

What You Will Work On:

• Using Sage Intacct software, prepare and record vendor checks.
• Review payment requests to ensure proper approvals and documentation.
• Respond to urgent check needs quickly and accurately.
• Process multiple expense reimbursements and credit card reports through Concur, ensuring invoices are coded and receipts are attached.

What You Bring:

Education, Certifications, and Licensure Requirements/Preferences

• Bachelor's Degree (4-Year Program) or equivalent lived and or worked experience.

Experience Requirements/Preferences

• Minimum 3 years accounting experience or education; preferably within the nonprofit environment.
• Experience with Sage Intacct accounting software, preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of 501(c)(3) non-profit organization accounting requirements preferred.
