Job description
Murdock Chevrolet in Woods Cross is looking for a Lot Manager. This is an Operations Manager position handling all aspects of Inventory Management on our car lot. No experience is required, we will train qualified applicants. This is a Full Time position- Pay is $19-$22 per hour depending on Experience
Tasks:
- Leads the team of Lot Inventory Technicians to address all aspects of moving the inventory around the car lot, displaying cars per new and used car manager direction, placing marketing signs and materials on vehicles around the lot, follow-up on cleaning and/or detailing of cars for delivery to customers.
- Decision making on all Lot Tech applicants for those applying to work at Murdock and maintaining staffing levels to serve the customer with the highest degree of customer satisfaction.
- Communicates with Guests enthusiastically to serve their needs: engaging new guests; maintaining rapport with previous guests; suggesting all available inventory management options; managing keys for cars and loaner vehicles ; engaging customers; responding to inquiries; and recommending operational options to meet management's needs.
- Understands inventory management in the automobile industry to keep new and used cars grouped together to support the sales teams goals of increasing sales.
- Manages the physical inventory from adjacent lot as inventory number increase and decline with accuracy and compliance with all local government ordinances and state laws.
- Provide training to all new Lot Techs and Detailers as needed based on staffing needs.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, book reading, online training, and professional publications to improve Operations Management skills.
- Enhances Murdock Auto Team's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different guest requests, addressing customer feedback, and additional job duties as assigned by leadership.

Experience And Education:
High School diploma or GED. Ability to read and comprehend automobile characteristics and technical features. Must be able to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment. Must be minimum of 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk; sit; use hands, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Need ability to move around the dealership. The employee may be required to lift up to 25 pounds. Work is performed at a desk in an office setting and walking throughout the dealership lot.
