ABOUT THE ROLE
- The Director, Procurement – Global Indirect Logistics & Supply Chain manages the global procurement strategies for the Global Supply Chain with annual spend of $1B and supply base of 3500+ suppliers.
- Directs all Logistics, Plant Facilities & MRO, Utilities/Energy and CAPEX procurement activities (category and project), including strategic sourcing, supplier management and contract management.
- Provides leadership and support during sourcing initiatives, including total cost of ownership model development, category strategy development, negotiation strategy development & execution, supplier evaluation & selection, and category implementation.
- Drives efforts to understand internal stakeholder needs and summarize business requirements as input into enterprise-wide sourcing efforts; works to identify, prioritize and manage requirements for current, new, and changing corporate activities; Proactively engages internal partners to communicate solution recommendations based on category, market and sourcing information.
- Leads understanding of the external marketplace and knowledge of the latest category dynamics, trends and best practices; Identifies, prioritizes and drives implementation of continuous improvement opportunities and oversees high level risk management activities for respective category areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a globally diverse team of 15 Procurement professionals.
- Define the Logistics and Supply Chain, Plant Facilities & MRO, Utilities/Energy and CAPEX Procurement strategies to establish supply sources, maximize current and future market conditions, and define contingency planning to ensure critical supply needs are met.
- Partner with key Global and Regional stakeholders within the Logistics, Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance and other functions to align on long-term strategies that deliver high service levels, business growth, sustainability, innovation and cost optimization.
- Drive continuous improvement and optimization in spend and supply base resulting in reduction of portfolio complexity, while delivering improvements in supply chain resiliency
- Demonstrate current knowledge of global/regional supply markets to communicate forecasts and market dynamics to key internal stakeholders including senior leaders within Supply Chain.
- Support organizational strategies for e-commerce, digitization, and manufacturing of the future.
- Support creation of should cost models, clean sheeting, TCO analysis, supply and demand analysis.
- Lead centrally all commercial aspects in the areas of Global Ocean Freight and Freight Forwarding
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Engineering/Supply Chain Management or related degree
- 10+ years of business experience, including demonstrated experience in Supply Chain related Procurement field such as Logistics, Facilities, MRO, Utilities, Capex
- Demonstrated experience leading a culturally diverse global team and strong cross-cultural awareness and leadership capability.
- Depth of procurement skills in negotiations, contracting, and procurement related tools (clean sheets, TCO analysis, etc).
- Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and communication capabilities.

Demonstrated skills include organizational communication and networking ability with sr. leaders, strategic thinking, strong influencing skills, high level communication, negotiations, and problem analysis.
