About the Role
The Sustainability Analyst is responsible for data collection, data analytics, project management and voluntary disclosure reporting for Scoular’s Sustainability Program. The position will report to the Corporate Sustainability Manager and drive the long-term integration of people, process, and technology solutions, enabling Scoular to track performance KPIs and develop formal action plans and projects to reduce its environmental footprint. They must be comfortable in managing complex and multi-faceted projects that involve data, analyses, training and change management. An ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple projects and collaborate cross-functionally, working across Sustainability Pillar Leads providing project and data support.
JobResponsibilities - Manage Scoular’s greenhouse gas inventory in line with the GHG protocol by working closely with all Scoular operated facilities to obtain data and develop monthly reporting to each Scoular business.
- Identify opportunities to automate metrics to improve data quality and reporting abilities. Utilize environmental reporting systems and analytics tools to automate metrics via reports, dashboards. Prepare data and lead external verification when applicable.
- Support Scoular’s annual sustainability report, publicly facing sustainability communications and external applications to meet publication timelines and content goals.
- Interpret sustainability rating methodologies and identify opportunities for score improvement.
- Support climate-risk quantification, benchmarking best practices vs. peers and collaborating with teams to develop a value and risk driven approach.
- Model impacts of GHG reduction measures and support life-cycle analysis (LCA) projects analysis based on the needs of the business, providing expertise on emissions impacts of activities.
- Support customer requests through data analyses, application and development of tools and calculators.
- Develop action plans with defined objectives, targets and responsibilities to achieve sustainability goals and commitments. Ensure appropriate internal controls and measurement systems are in place to support sustainability efforts, including data gathering and analysis.
