Job description
Summary: Under the direction of the Chief Dietitian, provides Medical Nutrition Therapy through assessment of the nutritional status of each patient and through the development, implementation, and monitoring of an appropriate nutritional plan of care.
Education: BS in nutrition, dietetics, or food science.
Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Dietitian with the State of Rhode Island. Maintains current registration with the American Dietetic Association. Successful completion of registration exam. Access to reliable transportation in order to service off site locations
Experience: 1-3 Years’ experience including internship or equivalent.
Skills and Abilities:
Broad knowledge of specialized field.
Skills & Abilities: Skills in organization and priority setting.
Ability to work cooperatively with peers and other disciplines.
Ability to utilize sound interpersonal skills when interacting with patients and taking into consideration cultural background, linguistic skills and age of customers.
Maintains information confidential (HIPAA)

Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements : Normal mental and visual attention. Long periods of standing and walking. Visual acuity and hand dexterity. Physical ability involves variety of body movements including stooping, bending, kneeling, lifting, standing, walking, twisting, stretching and reaching. Physical ability involves pushing, pulling and lifting more than 30 lbs.
