Our client provides a variety of accounting and consulting services to help business owners focus on what they do best: fulfill their missions and lead in the communities they serve. Location: Remote in IL (Additional locations OH WI PA)

Compensation: $60000$65000

Job Type: Fulltime Direct Hire

Description

Our client services small to mediumsized businesses and nonprofits across a variety of industries to provide costeffective and comprehensive financial services. In this role you will serve not only as an accounting and tax professional but as an advisor to business owners and executive leadership. Some of your key responsibilities will be

• Bank and account reconciliations
  
• AP/AR Management
  
• Monthly and annual closing of client financial statements
  
• Preparation of adjusting journal entries
  
• Accounting and transaction classification
  
• Financial statement preparation
  
• Dashboard and scorecard preparation
  
• Budget vs. actual variance analysis
  
• Cash flow forecasting
  
• 1099 preparation
  
• Auditing assistance
  
• Other duties as required
  

Required Skills/Abilities :

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Excel
  
• Experience using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online are required; any other accounting systems are a plus
  
• Ability to manage multiple clients deadlines and projects simultaneously
  
• Strong organizational skills and very detailoriented
  
• Ability to selfmanage and work independently in a remote environment.
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  

Education and Experience :

• Bachelor s degree in accounting required; CPA certification preferred or on track to obtain.
  
• Minimum 3 years experience in a staff accountant role.
