Job Description Summary
The Modern Languages Department at Bentley University is seeking a qualified part-time Adjunct Lecturer in French for Fall 2023. Candidates must possess a minimum of a MA in French, native or near-native proficiency in both English and French, evidence of teaching effectiveness in French language coursework and a recently demonstrated interest in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Primary Responsibilities:
⢠Teach French Basic and/or Intermediate courses (MLFR101, MLFR102, MLFR201, and MLFR202).
⢠Create an effective classroom environment that fosters studentâ™s curiosities and abilities to practice their language skills.
⢠Deliver course content that meets learning outcomes and encourages studentâ™s active participation in the classroom and beyond.
⢠Promote the study of French.
⢠Hold office hours.
Minimum Qualifications:
MA required. Current or recent PhD candidates in French are encouraged to apply. Native or near-native competency in French is required.
