The opportunity

The Maintenance Engineer I is at the heart of Teva's production and packaging efficiency. More than just upkeep, this role combines proactive strategies with hands-on expertise — from driving OpEx initiatives to mastering the nuances of state-of-the-art equipment. Your mission will be ensuring our machinery runs at peak performance, building a space where quality and efficiency converge.

Kindly note that this role operates on a 3rd shift schedule from 11 PM to 7 AM. Shift timings may occasionally vary based on business requirements.

How you’ll spend your day

• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and optimization of production and packaging machinery.
• Conduct regular equipment diagnostics and collaborate with mechanics for on-site troubleshooting and repairs.
• Deliver technical mentorship and training, empowering both maintenance colleagues and equipment operators.
• Pioneer continuous improvement projects targeting both equipment and operational processes.
• Uphold infrastructure reliability, guaranteeing optimal functionality and minimal downtime.
• Actively shape and implement strategies that champion operational excellence.
• Guide maintenance teams in fine-tuning preventive and predictive maintenance methods.
• Take the lead and collaborate in critical quality investigations.
• Offer expertise in equipment qualification processes.
• Consistently uphold and advocate for stringent safety standards and cGMP regulations.

Your experience and qualifications

Education: 

• High school diploma, technical schooling, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience: 

• A minimum of 3 years in a maintenance role, with pharmaceutical industry exposure being a plus.

Skills & Technical Know-how:

• Proficiency in cGMP, FDA, OSHA standards, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated capabilities as a maintenance engineer.
• Comprehensive know-how of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and heating systems.
• Acquaintance with automation, control systems, and associated software.
• Skill in interpreting system schematics.
• Robust troubleshooting abilities and analytical prowess.
• Comprehensive understanding of equipment-related safety protocols.
• Aptitude for handling and operating heavy machinery.
• Stellar communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Physical Demands:

• Engage in a mix of stationary and physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking, and occasionally lifting (up to 25 pounds). Be prepared for exposure to specific risks associated with the manufacturing environment, underscoring the importance of stringent safety adherence.
