Job description
Responsible for providing emergency crisis intervention service including, patient assessment, and counseling. This position is working on the Psychiatric Consult Liaison Service, providing follow-up care and evaluation for patients admitted on the medical floors.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Conducts evaluation interviews and provides clinical assessments of emotional and behavioral disorders.
2. Conducts evaluation interviews and provides clinical assessments of alcohol and substance abuse disorders.
3. Analyzes and prioritizes significant problem areas for intervention, utilizing an advanced level of clinical psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention and community resource knowledge and skill.
4. Serves as consultant to the medical floor teams in identifying patient problems, behavioral management, involuntary processes and disposition needs and in seeking therapeutic solutions.
5. Demonstrates considerable expertise in the areas of psychosocial assessment, crisis counseling, medical comorbidity, de-escalation and stabilization, establishment of a care plan/disposition
6. Complete all necessary documentation accurately and timely
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required:
1. Masters’ degree in healthcare or related field.
Preferred:
1. LPC, LCSW, LAC, LSW
