Job Title: Java (PowerBI) Developer
Location: Work from home (The role is 99% work from home and 1 time monthly travel to Florida office.)
Duration: Full Time/ Permanent
Job Description:
Development of high-quality applications on agile teams with Mendix and BI technology
Deduce and document use cases from customer requirements
Visual Modeling: Setup Database Structures and relationships, Develop application workflows, Create application logic, Create integration interfaces via Web Services, Create Graphical User Interface Layouts.
Extend current application logic and integration interfaces with custom Java
Understanding of development effort and estimations; communicate progress to team manager.
Deliberate decision making and architectural ownership with respect to design and development of functionality within the context of the deliverable application.
Documentation of either or, user manuals, (non-)functional application requirements, business processes, work flows, project plans and planning, systems architecture, etc.
Skills / Attributes Required
PowerBI and UI
Front to back-end application development
Java Widget development, DoJo, JQuery, React JS, SSO development
Strong Knowledge of Java, C++ or C#
Strong Conceptual understanding of XML, Web Services, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Object Oriented Programming.
Experience with relational databases (e.g. Oracle, Postgres, MSSQL, Eclipse). Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and AWS Cloud experience is a plus to work with our AWS SysOps engineer.
Low Code development a plus such as Mendix Cloud Development and Architectural experience
Strong verbal and written documentation communication skills.
Strong analytical skills; structured and methodical.
Experience with visual modeling.
Systems Integration Experience.
Profile
7 15 years of work experience in IT development and delivery.
Experience in customer-facing environments, with daily customer interaction.
Familiar with Agile practices.
Experience with both business and IT units
Eager to learn new technologies.
Excellent problem solving and Triage skills.
Enthusiastic, creative and flexible.
Driven, talented and result-oriented
