YOUR LIFE AS A SCHOOL CHILD CARE ASSISTANT - TEACHING AIDE
This part-time teacher assistant position in education works during the day .
As a School Child Care Assistant - Teaching Aide in human services, you're responsible for working under the direct supervision of our child care teacher or assistant teacher. You carry out activities and instruction for the children under your supervision either individually or in groups using developmentally appropriate practices and serving as a model of inclusion. In a timely manner, you meet the custodial needs of children such as handing out snacks or lunch. You also help complete daily or weekly program operational chores, including dishes, laundry, cleaning, and shopping.
In addition, you help keep our classroom supplies and materials orderly and in good working condition. It's a priority to maintain a nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment, in alignment with our policies and procedures. Your attention to detail and commitment to organization ensures that every aspect of the children's care is carefully considered and executed with precision. You also participate in ongoing staff development to continuously improve at your job. You enjoy working with children and playing a part in their education at such an impressionable age!
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
A bachelor's degree would be a plus. At least two years of practical experience working with children is preferred, but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
