Job description
Clean Harbors is Hiring an OnSite Hazard Waste Technician. This position includes travel to three different customer sites and you will be responsible for collecting, consolidating, segregating and preparing for disposal hazardous waste generated at a customer location.
- Kidde located in Wilson, NC on Saturday
- Alcami Durham, NC on Tuesday & Friday
- UNC Chapel Hill, NC on Wednesday & Thursday

Responsibilities:
- Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
- Proper packaging of waste to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance
- Ensure work area maintained in a neat and orderly manner
- Attend all compliance and safety update meetings
- Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules.
- Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements.
- Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures
- Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-Year experience as a Household Hazardous Waste Technician I or related experience
- Attention to detail, able to take and follow direction, and to perform multiple tasks
- Ability to interface with customers
- Perform physical functions per job requirements
- Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
