QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

- 6 years of experience developing systems using Intersystem IRIS/Cache.
- 6 years of experience in Object and Relational database design.
- 6 years of experience with Mumps coding.
- 6 years of experience with Cache Web link, connecting a web server to a Cache database.
- 6 years of experience developing web-based applications.
- 6 years of experience with health applications and health statistics.
- 6 years of experience using SQL
- 6 years of experience with data exchange and web services using HL7.
- 6 years of experience with Object Oriented Programming (OOP) and Object- Oriented Design (OOD).
- 6 years of experience with programs using Soundex Software (must include SAX Name-3) and Search Software America (SSA) and in the customization of configurations of the SSA software to integrate with Florida SHOTS application needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research and recommend technical solutions to issues affecting current
performance and enhancements to the Florida SHOTS system. Recommendations
shall be provided in formats that are relevant to the issue being communicated
which may include use of Requisite Pro, Clear Quest, and Clear Case as directed by
the Department.
- Develop database resources, as gathered during Joint Application Requirements
and/or Joint Development sessions as directed by the Department.
- Documentation of requirements, specification documents, process flow documents,
shall be filed in the group’s SharePoint system, emailed to the immunization Business
Office and within the systems ticket processing system as directed by the Department.
- Provide a weekly status report to the Immunization Business Office detailing
all work completed in the reported period as directed by the Department.
- Weekly, review each release or publication of new code, published code is to be
conducted to assure that the system is operating as developed and tested as directed
by the Department.
- Daily, meet with Florida SHOTS technical team to discuss issues that are pertinent with
current development, testing, releases, or possible enhancement as directed by the
Department.
- Conduct research as directed by the Department to aid in development of functions
related to Immunization Information Systems.
- Using SQL or other analytical tools to aid in research using data stored in Florida SHOTS
system as directed by the Department.
- Standardize collection and storage of Disease Control and Health Protection (DCHP)
shared data; profile, laboratory and provider tables assigned by the Department.
- In collaborating with Division of Disease Control and Health Protection (DCH information technology teams; document design and develop plans using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, or other software, to accomplish the Master Person Index project as assigned by the Department, Health Information Exchange (HIE)
