Teacher Preparation Program Data Admin

Position Summary

Provides data collection, tracking and reporting support for the Teacher Preparation Program (TPP). Serves the TPP as Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) Qualified Administrator; prepares and distributes invitations for completing the IDI; prepares and presents reports of IDI results to students, faculty, and others; conducts individual and group consultations about IDI results. Serves the TPP as Qualtrics Research Suite Administrator; creates instruments based on designs provided by program faculty and advises faculty on best practices for online administration; creates distribution panels based on program records constructed by program faculty and assists in the maintenance of those records; creates distribution systems in Qualtrics; tracks completion and follows up on missing or late submissions; constructs reports from Qualtrics. Leads Student Learning & Licensure (SL&L) by Watermark administration, building assessments in the system, tracking and reporting, as well as providing backup to the main SL&L administrator. Uses application-specific reporting interfaces, spreadsheets, databases and presentation and desktop publishing applications to execute reporting tasks. Acts as a resource for students, TPP personnel and PK-12 school partners on data and assessment collection issues; assists in preparation and presentation of information about assessment and data collection processes and other MSU, College, Department and program policies and procedures. Collects consent forms from student placements and coordinates with MSU Human Resources to complete required background checks. Assists as needed with the preparation of printed materials and hosting for TPP events. Fields general questions about the TPP and directs to additional resources as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree in Business, Communications, Math, Liberal Arts or related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in administrative record-keeping and ability to understand, apply and interpret federal, state, institutional regulations; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Desired Qualifications

Proficiency with Qualtrics platforms. Experience with measurement of and educational initiatives that support the development of intercultural competence. Experience with Assessment Management Systems (e.g. Student Learning & Licensure by Watermark), Learning Management Systems (e.g. Brightspace by Desire2Learn), Student Information Systems (e.g., Oracle Peoplesoft Campus Solutions), MSU Enterprise Business Systems (SAP and Kuali), Microsoft Office 365 (including Sharepoint and TEAMS), and Google Suite. Experience assisting with technology training and education.
