Job description
NASB is accepting applications for Superintendent of Schools on behalf of Homer Community School District. The Homer Community School District is a PK-12 district located on a campus 15 miles south of Sioux City, IA. Approximately 440 students are educated by skilled and dedicated faculty members and support staff. The school district is Cognia accredited, and school improvement efforts focus on maximizing student learning. In addition to experiencing an excellent curriculum aligned to state standards, students enjoy access to numerous activities to prepare them for a successful future.
The district is looking for applicants to do the following:
· Collaborate with the leadership team and staff to continue the commitment to a rigorous education for all students
· Utilize previous budget experience or work with a strong mentor to maintain a financially stable budget
· Seek opportunities to build partnerships between the school and community
· Possess experience in a small, rural school or community
