looking for Packaging Engineer
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Duration: 24+ Months(Contract)
Keywords: Packaging Engineering Steel Racks , Automotive experience required.
Especially Stellantis/FCA/Chrysler. Leadership. High initiative. Lead team.
Job Overview:-
- Schedule and manage math data pulls
- Schedule and attend all design meetings
- Pre-Concept Handled by Early Logistics Team
- 25% Rack Review
- ASME / ME Review / Concept Review
- Dunnage Review
- 50% Rack Review
- Virtual Prototype Review
- 100% Design Review
- Print Release
- Schedule physical rack review at the plant with all key stakeholders (including Production, ISD Quality, Safety / Ergonomics and WO/IE)
- Populate and manage Spreadsheet/Database for all design timing
- Maintain design spreadsheet and timing for CPCP report out
- Populate and manage Spreadsheet/Database and Team Center with current rack drawings or models (including markup prints)
- Review rack build prints and prototype to verify suppliers follow rack design standards.
- (Documenting any discrepancies and track actions to correct to completion)
- Review all carryover rack designs for redline updates and get signed concurrence from assembly plants on required changes prior to new fleet or additional racks are kicked-off.
- Review and obtain Ergonomic and Plant Safety approval on all rack designs (IMPORTANT)
- CompleteStellantis Ergo Sheets for each rack design. Compile into one document for WPI, Launch teams, MLM Material Flow, 3PL Sequencers, etc.
- Complete buyoff forms for each rack design, which requires buy-off from Supplier Quality, Safety, Ergo & WO. (REQUIRED). Copies must be kept and provided to PM and uploaded into SharePoint, Google Drive or Microsoft Database.
- Review and obtain all key stakeholders' approval in writing on all rack designs (ME, ASME, Supplier, Engineering, etc.)
- Schedule Review and Approval meetings for Robotic
- Check Fixtures/Gauges and Lift assist interfacing reviews within racks.
- Participate in the WPI process to help determine SPD concepts
- Project Closing Finalize prints and rack models in MLM s SharePoint, Google drive, or Microsoft database and Teamcenter (including both product data and the rack model in Native NX or Step files, JT files and a pdf of the print for each design)
- Project Closing Supervise transmittal of prints and models to achieve location
- Project Closing Finalize WWR and documentation.
