New Jersey Resources is seeking a Lead Compensation Analyst to work independently and collaboratively within the HR department and Compensation team. Leading the development, evaluation, implementation, and administration of the company's compensation programs and initiatives within your assigned business unit areas. This individual is a key contributor for Executive Compensation. You will also manage timelines and milestones for any compensation projects.
Major Responsibilities:
Support and advise assigned business units in all compensation related areas. Headcount planning, position evaluations, pay strategy. Promotion and equity adjustment cycles and annual merit, incentive cycles
Responsible for preparation of all LDCC documents including STI/ LTI tracking. Assist CHRO with LDCC meeting preparation along with legal and outside consultants
Responsible for equity awards administration and management. Tracking awards, education and support payroll and legal reporting processes. Administration of systems and vendor relationships. Maintain agreements and ensure invoices are processed on a timely basis
Lead the annual Officer Deferred Compensation cycle and education. Process distributions and communications. Maintain vendor relationships. Maintain agreements and ensure invoices are processed on a timely basis
Lead SOX compliance/ internal audit / Proxy Compensation related reporting
Collaborate with HR and leadership to align compensation programs with organizational objectives
Develop and conduct compensation related education as needed. Lead periodic review of compensation programs for best practices.
Assist the Director of Compensation with analytical projects and process improvement. Including documenting workflow and process memos
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition teams on proposals for new hire offers, promotions, and adjustments
Survey submission process during survey season and any custom surveys. Review survey results and pro-actively provide the analysis of market trend and recommend any adjustments to compensation data.
Project Management and participation as needed for spot bonus programs. Plan design and administration.
Position Specifications
Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in human resources or related field.
Graduate degree in human resources, finance or business is preferred
At least five years’ experience in compensation required
CCP and/or SHRM certification is a plus
Must be able to work in a fast-paced changing environment and be able to use objective judgment for outcomes that may not be straightforward
Proficient in Microsoft suite of products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Must have good time management skills and the ability to work independently, as well as with a team
Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required
Proven ability to handle multiple assignments and understanding of HR processes and data to ensure correct implementation a must
Ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality and discretion
Experience automating and creating reports, as well as very strong technical skills and the ability to learn new programs and packages
Previous experience with Ceridian Dayforce a plus
Able to present analytical data in an easily understandable format to a broad audience
10% travel to other corporate NJR locations or attend industry functions
