Job description
We are working with a leading global multi-billion-dollar transportation/logistics company with a rich history of innovation and commitment to excellence. As they continue to expand their operations, they’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team at their North American HQ in Lombard, IL. This team works in the office 3 days/week.
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information through the completion of full month end close processes. This individual will leverage their expertise in accounting and proficiency in managing large ERP systems to contribute to the financial success of our organization. This role is budgeted for $85,000-95,000 base salary.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
Execute and oversee full month end close processes, including preparation of financial statements, account reconciliations and variance analysis
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Manage and optimize the utilization of large ERP systems to streamline financial reporting and enhance operational efficiency
Ensure accuracy in financial records, identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed
Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process providing necessary support
Senior Accountant Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
4+ years of experience in executing full month end close processes.
Demonstrated experience in working in large ERP systems; any systems implementation experience is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to process improve.
