Position: Housing Stability Manager
Classification: Exempt
Work Schedule: Full-time (will require, on occasion, some evenings, weekends, and holidays)
Worksite: On-site at La Casa de las Madres’ Community Programs office with weekly travel to co-located program sites. Adherence to COVID-19 preventative policies will apply, including COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccine Policy.

Agency Overview: La Casa de las Madres (La Casa) is a California not-for-profit corporation established to provide services for battered women and their children. Founded in 1976, La Casa is San Francisco’s oldest domestic violence program, providing comprehensive supportive services through an Emergency Shelter, 2-24 hour hotlines, non-residential Community Programs, and Community Education and Outreach Programs serving women, teens, and children survivors of domestic violence.
Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Director of Housing Programs, the Housing Stability Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the provision of services to survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence in long-term housing programs. Long-term housing programs include the Mary Elizabeth Inn and Hotel Verona - two Single Occupancy Residence (SRO) facilities located in the Lower Nob Hill and Tenderloin area of San Francisco, Housing First for DV-connecting survivors with stable and secure housing, and the San Francisco Housing Authority and its housing sites. The Housing Stability Manager will directly supervise the programs mentioned above and project staff responsible for service delivery.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Implement programs and delivery of services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, through adequate agency staff and resources management.
- Supervise all long-term housing staff members in both service provision and personnel matters.
- Take an active role in hiring, performance evaluation, supervisory, training, and disciplinary matters.
- Uphold and ensure compliance with personnel policies and procedures.
- Ensure implementation of daily operating procedures, safety protocols, and administrative functions for non-residential program activities.
- Oversee timely collection of accurate client documentation and program service data collection in compliance with contract and grant reporting requirements.
- Participate in direct service provision as needed and cover when there are gaps in staffing.
- Create and maintain effective community partnerships.
- Support efforts to evaluate client satisfaction and program effectiveness (internal tools/external trends).
- Travel to Housing Program sites multiple times weekly and provide on-site support and supervision to program staff.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with program/support staff at multiple sites.
- Coordinate and participate in program-specific meetings, staff meetings, and in-service training.
- Provide 24-hour on-call emergency coverage for emergencies either directly or through delegation.
- Serve as an active member of La Casa’s management team.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Social Work/Nonprofit Administration/Business or relevant field and 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Will consider High School Diploma/GED or 2-year degree and six plus years of related work experience.
- Five plus years of related work experience managing people, preferably in a non-profit setting.
- Experience managing government grants and contracts.
- Experience in domestic violence, housing and homelessness, mental health, substance abuse, and physical illnesses.
- Understanding of confidentiality and privilege laws.
- Strong working knowledge of community resources in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Ability to work independently and navigate public transportation to and from multi-site collaborative.
- Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness.
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines and multi-task.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Bilingual English-Spanish required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing 50+ lbs., and walking up and down stairs (1 to 3 flights, multiple times a day).
- Clearance through fingerprinting (Live Scan) required. La Casa de las Madres will consider applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with San Francisco’s Fair Chance Ordinance and

Compensation and Other Information: Salary: up to $80,000 per year, DOE. The Housing Stability Manager position is a full-time, exempt position requiring some flexibility that will include, on occasion, working evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
