Job description
Order and monitor parts orders for both external and internal shop customers. Interface with both external, internal, Caterpillar and outside vendors to resolve issues regarding parts availability. Provide support to call center customers. Research back order parts and communicate ship dates and possible delays. Work with vendors to obtain the best possible service and pricing.
Required Skills:
- Quote customer orders
- Place customer orders
- Confirm pricing for customer orders
- Research customer back orders
- Enter outside P.O.'s for vendor / factory direct parts
- Manage customer consignment orders
- Correct griefed orders at CAT
- Source customer parts
- Source customer parts
- Source bearings from outside vendor
- Use CAT tools to troubleshoot customer issues
- Enter outside P.O.'s for vendor / factory direct parts
- Troubleshoot customer parts issues - no part number etc.
- Enter and execute OTO orders
- Maintain components for kits (orders / staging)
- Intermediate computer skills
Education / Experience:
- High School diploma required
- Graduate of a technical school, military school preferred, or relevant working experience acceptable to the company.
