Location: Houston, Texas, United States (Hybrid) **Hybrid: 4 days a week in the downtown Houston, TX office**
TGRC is seeking a Finance Associate with project finance or energy/power/utilities banking or investing experience. This individual will need to be a competent financial modeler and possess a passion for decarbonization.

The Green Recruitment Company is partnered with a new, exciting developer, which is focused on decarbonizing the US power grid by developing new long-haul electric transmission lines across the United States. The business is backed by flexible, patient capital and a highly-regarded figure in energy transition.
The rapidly scaling developer is seeking a finance associate. In this role, you will be part of a lean and agile team, working closely with the CFO and the Senior Finance Manager; providing a fantastic platform for career development and progression.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and maintain the financial modeling for project-level forecasting, including calculating project valuations and returns, pricing a variety of revenue structures, and associated sensitivity analyses
Build and update the corporate financial model including projections and modeling of various financing and commercial arrangements
Conduct deep due diligence for potential acquisitions, including thorough market analyses, transaction structuring and valuation analyses
Prepare investment presentations and memos regarding new investment opportunities with the opportunity to participate in management discussions around potential investments and strategic imperatives
Monitor and analyze market trends, regulatory developments, and industry dynamics to identify potential opportunities and risks
Collaborate with internal and external cross-functional team members (e.g. project developers, market and commercial analytics, land, engineering, environmental, interconnection, accounting, legal, etc.).
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-3+ years prior work experience in a related financial, energy, investment banking and/or private investment role. ,
Very strong quantitative skills and deep modeling experience (strong preference for project finance modeling skills)
A passion for collaborative, team-based work with a hands-on entrepreneurial approach to investing and business growth
Strong ambition to learn the cutting edge of the power industry and transmission development
Bachelor's degree highlighting a record of success
Excitement to understand, model, and evaluate a breadth of financial commercial structures, including novel structures to enable the company's innovative transmission projects.
