Job description
Location: Las Vegas, NV (Various Unanticipated Worksites)
Responsibilities:
- Manage the technical design and development of new large-scale application development and enhancement projects.
- Lead the Applications Development Services team in all phases of the application development cycle, including pre-analysis, analysis, design, preparation of design
- documents, coding, unit testing, SIT, UAT, implementation and supporting the application through the warranty period.
- Oversee database and SQL development and support, including the development of Enterprise and Web applications using provisioning tools such as Java/J2EE, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, Hibernate and Spring MVC technologies.
- Lead the implementation of information systems software applications for new SQL database, backup, restore and maintenance, while analyzing user needs and developing appropriate software solutions and customizations.
- Perform requirements analysis to determine feasibility of proposed solutions and requirements, and to manage the development of appropriate architecture and application modules.
- Develop and modify computer application solutions utilizing SDLC procedures such as Waterfall and Agile methodologies. Oversee the execution, testing, validation and
- documentation required to deliver the computer application solutions.
- Create proof of concepts (POCs) with persistence framework Hibernate ORM to map POJOS to a relational database.
- Manage user Interface development using JSPs, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and JQuery and lead the Applications Development Services team in coding Complex Queries,
- Native Stored Procedures in Native PL/SQL, and SQL.
- Manage project status reports from the Applications Development Services team to ensure the development of documentation that complies with company standards.
- Position will supervise ten (10) employees. Position will be headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, with periodic travel/relocation required to various unanticipated project worksites throughout the United States.
Educ./experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, plus two (2) years of post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer, Applications Development Team Leader, or related role.
- Experience must include managing large IT projects; managing operations, including management of teams, projects, and customers; conducting effort estimation for all
- phases of the Software Development Life Cycle; performing daily defect triage and reviewing defects with multiple development teams and managing the defect throughout life cycle; developing multi-tier and web-based applications; and designing class diagrams, sequence diagrams, and high-level technical documents. Position will be headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, with periodic travel/relocation required to various unanticipated project worksites throughout the United States.
