Definition: Operate as part of Longmont Department of Public Safety's Co-Responder team (C.O.R.E., a mental health crisis response team) comprised of a Paramedic, Mental Health Clinician, and a Police Officer; as well as the Department's Community Health Program. Provides integrated health services in support of and in partnership with other health professionals; extends access to health services in underserved and general populations, including primary care, public health, disease management and education, prevention and wellness, mental health, and dental health; and performs other duties as required. Provides prehospital/out-of-hospital care, including medical evaluation, treatment, and stabilization of the chronically or critically ill and injured. This is not a 911 transport or EMS position.

Principal Duties:


Working Environment:
This may involve the ability to move 20-25 pounds, mobility through diverse work environments, and frequent exposure to stress associated with varied, complex tasks. There are periods of working alone and work may at times be performed alone in an off-site location, including patient residences.


Qualifications: A minimum of five years’ experience as a Paramedic.

Additional Requirements:


Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of five years experience in a 911 EMS system.
