Job description
Join our team as a Cloud Support Engineer in this hybrid role, with 2-3 days onsite, contributing to the Investment Management’s Cloud Program. As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and supporting the operational aspects of the Cloud Program, covering Monitoring, Identity and Secrets Management, Backups, Recovery, and Incident Response. This position collaborates with Cloud Platform Engineering, Development, InfoSec, and Site Reliability Engineering teams to build secure, scalable solutions for explosive business growth.
Job Description
- Provide frontline Cloud operational support, incident management, and administration for Morgan Stanley (AWS, Snowflake, MongoDB Atlas, Confluent Cloud)
- Manage Identity and Access Management across various Cloud platforms
- Oversee Cloud secrets management, including deployment, rotation, and tooling integration
- Design and implement centralized observability and monitoring/alerting solutions for availability
- Assist with the implementation of Cloud Security policies and guardrails
- Create and maintain Terraform IaC for architectural consistency and security
- Design and implement best practices for operational excellence, security, reliability, performance, efficiency, and cost optimization
- Create and maintain documentation related to the Morgan Stanley Cloud Program
- Mentor junior team members on secure Cloud Ops design principles and IaC
Qualifications
- AWS Cloud Architect Associate certification or equivalent
- 3+ years hands-on AWS Support experience
- 5+ years hands-on experience in Information Technology, preferably in financial services
- Strong knowledge of Terraform or Python-based orchestration tooling and source control experience (GitHub)
