Arkansas Talent Group is proud to partner with a Family Office in Little Rock to help them find a Corporate Controller for their Executive Office. The Family Office currently has ownership stake in several manufacturing companies throughout the USA and has plans for expansion through acquisitions. This is a newly created position due to growth and will report directly to the CFO. The Corporate Controller will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization and all its subsidiaries, provide strategic guidance, and manage Plant Controllers in several locations. The Corporate Controller will play a pivotal role in managing the day to day accounting and month end close process for the company.
Duties would include:
- Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the executive team and subsidiary controllers
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial reporting
- Drive financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax filings, and other financial obligations
- Coordinate audits and reviews, liaising with external auditors and regulatory agencies as necessary
- Hands on oversite of accounting activities including daily transactional processing (AP, AR, Payroll, and GL) Journal Entries, month end close
- Supervise and support plant controllers across multiple manufacturing locations
- Provide guidance on financial matters, budgeting, and reporting to ensure alignment with corporate objectives
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing finance team culture within each subsidiary
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop financial strategies that support the company's growth objectives and expansion plans
- Assist CFO in conduct financial analysis and scenario modeling to evaluate investment opportunities and acquisition targets
- Assess and mitigate financial risks, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement
Qualifications :
- Bachelors / Masters in Accounting
- CPA highly preferred
- 10+ years of experience, 5+ in a supervisory role
- Experience in Manufacturing, M&A, Private Equity, Capital Raise is a huge plus
- Strong technical accounting skills and GAAP knowledge
- Strong communication and leadership skills to manage multiple Plant Controllers and give presentations of findings to Executive Team
- NetSuite experience is a plus
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software; proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
