Delivers exceptional therapeutic medical physics and radiation safety services to all internal and external customers utilizing best practices, nationally recognized standards, and regulations in a manner that ensures the highest level of safety, quality patient care, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
Performs and develops appropriate quality assurance procedures and records. All procedures are completed on time.

Performs and develops special clinical procedures to meet departmental and professional standards.

Performs necessary tasks for physics projects and policy/procedure development.

Performs patient chart checks and maintains appropriate patient record-keeping. All checks and record keeping are performed on time.

Provides assistance with problem solving, troubleshooting, and maintenance for simulation, treatment planning, and treatment delivery personnel and equipment.

Serves as a resource for all aspects of simulation, treatment planning, and treatment delivery. Demonstrates complete knowledge of all processes and is a resource for any issues related to the aforementioned areas. Provides radiation safety services to ensure patient and staff safety. Provides technical assistance to the Radiation Oncologists, Chief Physicist, and technical staff to ensure safe, quality patient care.

Qualifications
EDUCATION: Required - Masters or Doctoral Degree in Medical Physics, Physics, or related field with additional training or experience in Medical Physics.
Preferred - CAMPEP Accredited Masters or Doctoral Degree in Medical Physics
EXPERIENCE: PREFERRED
Minimum of 2 years working as an independently functioning medical physicist.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: REQUIRED
Drivers License | Valid Drivers License
Certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) in Therapeutic Medical Physics. Certification must be maintained throughout employment.
