PRACTICE MANAGER

As the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Medical Director and Practice Administrator with business practices, personnel, clinical oversight, marketing, and patient relations. This role will report directly to the Medical Director with a dotted line and direct supervision by the Practice Administrator. The Practice Manager will be responsible for the facilities management and the smooth operations of the practice, including direct management of the Sleep Business.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinates clinical operations, specifically to:

o Ensure physicians have the necessary resources to provide optimal patient care.

o Verify that facilities are equipped and maintained to promote excellent patient care and create a pleasant physical atmosphere for staff, physicians, and patients.

o Confirm on a continuing basis that all clinical equipment is operational and kept in a good state of repair with regular preventive maintenance.

o Maintain adequate levels of staffing for the practice.

o Monitor that personnel practices comply with local, state, and federal guidelines.

o Guarantee that the practice complies with OSHA and CLIA regulations and that current safety and infection control plans are in force.

Collaborates with Department Leads to:

o Convey performance expectations and provide ongoing support.

o Recommend and support continuing education and staff development opportunities.

o Evaluate performance continually, incorporating direct feedback provided by staff, physicians, and patients.

o Ensure each employee has an accurate job description and completes performance evaluation forms annually for all direct reports.

Establishes, monitors, and ensures an effective and efficient patient flow/experience:

o Ensure all patients are treated in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.

o Promote and manage a consistently high standard of telephone and one-on-one conversations with patients.

o Ensure that HIPAA policies are always followed.

Monitors and coordinate Sleep Operations:

o Work directly with sleep leads including Lead PCC, Sleep Tech Lead, and Authorization Lead, to maintain lab credentialing as well as the smooth operations.

o Utilize data driven reports to identify gaps in efficiency, scheduling, authorization, and/or general operations.

o Pull monthly sleep study reports and maintain relationships with referring sleep physicians.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has supervisory responsibility over all non-physician, clinical and non-clinical staff.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

All employees are required to provide proof of vaccination or exemption.

Heavy lifting requirement: up to 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand, stoop and lift and walk without restrictions.
