Job description
Job Summary:

If so, Ford of Harvey is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Service Manager. As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of our service department. This includes leading a team of technicians and ensuring excellent customer service, as well as maintaining and exceeding sales goals.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time position with a base salary plus commission structure, offering a competitive annual compensation of $90,000 to $125,000 annually, paid semi-monthly. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k plan, paid time off, employee discounts, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the service department
- Develop and implement strategies to increase service department sales and profitability
- Hire, train, and supervise a team of technicians to ensure efficient and high-quality repairs and maintenance services
- Oversee the scheduling of service appointments and ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of service department activities and financials
- Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes
- Ensure compliance with all safety and company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to provide excellent customer service and promote cross-selling opportunities
- Stay updated on current automotive technology and trends to provide knowledgeable and accurate information to customers
- Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner
- Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote the service department and increase sales
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an automotive service or related field
- Previous management experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in automotive technology and repair processes
- Excellent customer service and sales skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and automotive software systems
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
