Job Description:
-FAR GROUP is looking for a qualified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to provide on-site training services at The 148th Fighter Wing, Duluth, MN.

Special Qualifications:
The following qualifications shall be met by the minimum personnel required to meet the requirements of the service outlined in this job description.
• Should possess a bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in an accredited exercise science, health science, or physical education-related discipline.
• A minimum of four (4) years of experience working as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist is desired.
• The candidate shall possess and maintain current certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and possess a CrossFit Level 1 or greater certification.
• Maintenance of his certification shall be an enduring element of the requirement. Current certification in basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) including Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
training is desired.
• Creditable specialized experience includes: developing long and short-range planning and coordination of sport/mission-specific performance programs resulting in attributable results with elite athletes (i.e. Division I collegiate, Olympic, professional level athletes or SOF-specific tactical professionals).
• Candidate must be able to lift and manipulate loads and plates up to 55 pounds each.
Working Hours:
The contractor shall provide services between the flying hours of 0700-1600 or 1300-2000
on Monday through Friday, except on recognized US holidays or when the Government facility/installation is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings,
or similar Government-directed facility/installation closings.
Tasks and duties:
• Design and implement individualized strength and conditioning programs for military personnel,
tailored to their specific goals, physical capabilities, and operational requirements.
• Conduct thorough assessments of athletes' physical capabilities, including strength, power,
endurance, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness.
• Utilize scientific principles and evidence-based practices to develop periodized training programs
that optimize performance and minimize the risk of injuries.
• Provide instruction and guidance on proper exercise techniques, lifting mechanics, and injury
prevention strategies to military personnel.
• Supervise and monitor training sessions to ensure correct form, intensity, and progression of
exercises.
• Collaborate with coaches, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate
care and address any specific needs or limitations of military personnel.
• Utilize specialized equipment and tools to measure and track performance, such as force plates,
velocity-based training devices, and wearable technology.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of training programs, assessments, and progress of
military personnel.
• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in the field of strength and conditioning,
and incorporate this knowledge into program design and practice.
• Foster a culture of fitness, resilience, and performance optimization within the US Army facility
by organizing educational workshops, fitness challenges, and wellness initiatives.
