As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Representative in the central Virginia area.
Job Overview: The Industrial Business Development Representative plays a crucial role in driving sales growth and maintaining strong customer relationships in the industrial HVAC/R, plumbing, and electrical industries. This position requires excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales, customer relations, and account management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business while cultivating current customer relationships.
- Identify and engage prospective clients through various channels including cold calling, networking events, industry associations, and referrals.
- Interact with target customer base to review ongoing projects and discuss future opportunities.
- Track and report on all customer activities, meeting notes, and customer's project pipeline for future opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including technical experts and estimators, to develop comprehensive proposals.
- Maintain a customer visitation program to ensure customer needs are being met and Moore's is exceeding the customer's expectations.
- Always maintain positive and professional relationships with customers.
- Provide exceptional customer service, promptly addressing client inquiries, concerns, and issues to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Sales or customer relationship management experience preferred but not required.
- Industrial mechanical, electrical, or automated systems experience or knowledge preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, negotiate, and present ideas effectively.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a proactive and results-driven approach.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to analyze complex situations and develop practical solutions.
- Ability to use CRM software, sales tracking tools, and Microsoft Office software.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
