130 miles east of Des Moines, and 230 miles west of Chicago, Cedar Rapids is a city in eastern Iowa. The Cedar Rapids Museum of Art includes many works by native Iowan painter Grant Wood. Brucemore is an estate with acres of gardens and an 1880s mansion, which houses local history displays. Nearby, Bever Park has an ice rink, a pool and farm animals. The National Czech and Slovak Museum and Library offers exhibits on the history and culture of 19th-century immigrants.
Pactiv Evergreen Equipment is located in the city of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with close proximity to Chicago. Initially begun in 1880 to service the dairy industry, EPE now manufactures gable-top carton filling machines, making Evergreen Packaging a fully vertically integrated carton provider for its customers. EPE has 170 team members and now has 1300 installed machines in over 50 countries.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
· Sales Coordinator duties include (1) processing orders, (2) quoting part prices, (3) negotiating delivery dates, (4) researching technical information and (5) ensuring customer satisfaction.
· Sales Coordinators will be assigned specific geographic territories of responsibility for domestic and/or international customers.
· Employees in this position will become proficient at data entry, filing, order processing and other “system” responsibilities.
· This position requires excellent communication skills because many of the tasks involve interfaces with a variety of customers domestically, worldwide, and within the company.
· Excellent customer service behaviors and correspondence, professional phone etiquette, and interpersonal skills are keys to success.
· The ability and willingness to work closely with other Sales Coordinators as part of a team is key to efficient operation of the department.
· The ability to learn about the product and to understand engineering drawings and machine terminology is needed.
· Complete data entry for all phases of order administration (quotes and sale orders).
· Respond to customer phone, fax, and e-mail requests in a timely, accurate, friendly and professional manner.
· Work effectively and positively with peers and employees in other departments, sharing knowledge and expertise.
· Required to be part of a monthly on-call rotation for after-hours customer support. Must be able to be onsite at short notice to process emergency after-hours shipments.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· 1 – 2 years of customer service experience
· Ability to interface and demonstrate teamwork skills with internal and external associates
· Professional phone etiquette, strong customer service and interpersonal skills
· Strong verbal and written communications in English.
· Self-driven to work alone and/or in teams, when needed.
· Working knowledge of MS Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, Outlook & Power Point)
· SAP experience preferred but not required.
