Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Club in Hastings on Huds, New York is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
This position is ideal for an individual looking to start in the golf business or is early on on their golf career. The right candidate will be eager to learn, be a team player and an individual that embraces the philosophy of doing whatever it takes to get the job done. This individual should be outgoing and always ready to engage members in conversation about golf and life. Additionally, this candidate will be encouraged to work on their game and play with members when not engaged in other work activities. Participation in local Met PGA, MGA & WGA section tournaments is encouraged as well. Additionally, this individual will be a part of a team that is collectively working towards enhancing the overall experience of all the members, their families, and guests through our day-to-day operations. Duties include but are not limited to: pro shop management, tournament operations, merchandising, outside operations and assisting in all aspects of the golf operation as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Assist with all Tournament Operations Administration for all events and outings. This includes, but is not limited to: entering & updating data, printing reports, pre-event announcements, scoring, post event summaries, results, awards and assigning of tournament credit, etc..
• Work closely with professional staff to introduce, coordinate and implement Jr. Golf Programs (i.e. Clinics, Camps, Interclub Opportunities, etc).
• Work closely with the Pro Shop Manager to maintain an up-to-date online “Pro Shop”.
• Work closely with professional staff and LGA to help plan, administer, and implement LGA events.
• Actively engage in the introduction of player development programs to grow the game of golf (i.e. Family Golf Night, PGA Jr. League, Play with the Pro Nights, Clinics, etc…)
• Order & receive merchandise. Work closely with other assistants to ensure proper invoicing and entry of merchandise into the POS.
• Work with Golf Professional staff, Pro Shop Manager, and Prize Chairpersons to develop ideas for prizes and giveaway’s.
• Work closely with both starter/caddy master and course superintendent in coordinating range setup on a daily basis.
• Perform re-gripping services.
• Perform handicap duties (additions, deletions, and billing).
• Work on your golf game as your schedule allows.
• Be available to play golf with our membership and their guests.
• Be willing to do all jobs associated with the golf operation when necessary.
• Actively work towards gaining PGA membership.

Compensation:
$40,000.00 – $42,500.00 per year.
