Job description

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

• Prepares and treats an existing bituminous, concrete, or base course surface with the bituminous material according to the contract.
• Must heat bituminous material prior to application at specific jobsite.
• Must be able to calibrate ratios of tack or prime coat with water.
• Must be able to calculate prime or tack coat ratios of gallons per square yard according to State, Federal, and City specifications.
• Must be able to work alone at jobsite and make any reports of unsafe work conditions to immediate supervisor.
• Due to the messy nature of this job, applicant must be conscientious of application and work quality as to avoid over application on surroundings.
• Must be aware and conforming to environmental requirements, such as drainage, run-offs, gutters, etc.
• Must be able to follow directions and find various locations of jobsites.

PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS:

5 years' experience in paving and or distributor duties.

Type 3 and CDL Type (A) (B) (X) endorsement.

Ability to calibrate oil mixtures.

Ability to work flexible hours.

Knowledge of applicable safety rules and regulations.

Must be at least 21 years of age.
