THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE:
The Sr Manager, Ad Technology leads the strategy and delivery of UB Media’s ad technology capabilities to efficiently scale our program and provide easy to use ad buying options for our clients to work with UBM how they want. In this role, you will be responsible for the software, systems, platforms, and tools used by publishers, advertisers, and other parties to buy, sell, and manage advertising. This role will be the strategic leader for UB Media’s AdTech stack including platform architecture, implementation, and long-term vision. In addition, as the AdTech Product Owner you will help co-lead cross-functional sprint cycles with the Lead Engineer and a team of engineers and developers.
YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH ALL OF THESE GOALS BY:
- Own AdTech strategy for UB Media to help reach our financial goals; includes leading the AdTech agile product team as the product owner
- Translate product vision and strategy into an actionable roadmap containing well-defined, prioritized user stories and acceptance criteria that will realize the AdTech vision
- Identify market needs, discover opportunities, and define customer needs in AdTech/MarTech/Retail Media and the associated product features to meet those needs
- Manage the core components of the technology stack, including user interfaces, data management platforms, ID resolution, ad serving, and campaign measurement
- Ensure seamless integration and efficient operation of ad tech tools by collaborating with a cross-functional team from concept to launch
- Build a collaborative working relationship with UB Media Sales & Account team to compile business and customer insights to inform the AdTech roadmap
- Partner with the Digital Experience & Product Management teams, collaborate with senior leaders to prioritize and execute important ad product enhancements and new offerings within the digital roadmap
- Provide support to management on build vs. buy analysis and decision
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspire, mentor and grow a team of individual contributors, model a growth mindset, and contribute as a senior leader within the company
- Post-launch of capabilities actively seek data and analytics to test, learn and iterate as you orchestrate the product development process from end to end
- Establish success criteria for key product features using meaningful metrics and KPIs
- Thought leader and steward of AdTech strategies and roadmap for UB Media
- Oversee and accountable for financial results in area of responsibility
- Provide functional knowledge to guide on strategy, direction, and timing of future AdTech & MarTech improvements

THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS:
- 10+ years of experience in AdTech solutions including demand side and supply side digital, mobile, web, and broadcast advertising platforms, ad servers and technologies
- Multiple years of experience at a publisher, ad network or Retail Media Network
- Strong experience working with design, engineering, and data teams to define and develop advertising capabilities
- Intimate knowledge of retail media platforms such as GAM, CitrusAd, Criteo, or PromoteIQ
- Understands programmatic buying workflow and has strong knowledge of DSPs (DV360, TTD, MediaMath, etc.)
- Experience with marketing technologies like CMS, DMPs, CDPs, DAMs, DCOs, clean rooms and audience distribution tools
- Knowledge and experience in Agile best practices and product development
- Comfortable leading complex, cross-functionals projects across all levels within an organization and relevant external constituents
- A people-first leader equally comfortable setting a vision of AdTech as well as rolling up sleeves and helping the team get the job done. Highly flexible, with the ability to effectively lead through ambiguity and quickly adapt
- Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Self-motivated, high-capacity individual who can function and win in a demanding, performance-driven environment.
- Experience with platform solutions like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Advendio, Adobe Experience Platform, and Liveramp a plus
