Job description
McGee Air Services is looking for an experienced Managing Director, Talent & Belonging, to lead our Human Resources Team based at our World Headquarters in Renton, WA.
The Managing Director of Talent & Belonging is responsible for leading the Human Resources team and for building people strategies that align with McGee's culture and business objectives. This role leads the Recruiting, HR Operations and HR Compliance teams and is empowered to use discretion and independent judgement. Responsible for driving and managing Organizational Development and Employee & Labor Relations throughout the company. The Managing Director is responsible for building out programs that attract, engage, and retain employees, as well as enhance performance, learning, and development opportunities. This position is a highly collaborative and cross functional position that provides essential HR services to, and works very closely with, the operations leaders.
The position reports directly to the President of McGee Air Services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consults and collaborates with the President and Senior Leadership Team to develop people strategies that evolve and grow McGee Air Service's culture and business.
- Leads an HR team of approximately 40 HR professionals.
- Provides oversight, direction, advice, and guidance on all phases of the employment process including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, compliance, leaves and accommodations, performance management, discipline and termination to the HR organization and operational leaders with the goals of enhancing the employee experience and mitigating risk to the company.
- Develops and implements HR policies and accompanying training for the entire organization.
- Builds scalable talent acquisition and organizational sustainability programs focused on continuously improving operational stability and capability.
- Guides companywide recruiting to attract, hire and onboard team members, growing a robust pipeline of team members and managing the succession planning process.
- Oversees organizational development - provides strategy and insight to organizational design, performance, leadership development and employee engagement solutions.
- Partners with leaders on developing performance solutions, enabling high performance, and addressing performance challenges.
- Works collaboratively with their team and internal business partners to build relationships and effective partnerships designed to achieve the business result desired while maintaining compliance and mitigating risk.
- Develops and leads compensation and benefits strategy designed to recruit and retain high quality, diverse talent.
- Sets short- and long-term goals and data collection methods to ensure all HR metrics and strategic priorities are monitored, reviewed, redesigned as necessary, and ultimately met and sustained.
- Ensures compliance with multi-jurisdictional employment laws, mitigates risk, and maintains a thorough knowledge of applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Leads the employee relations and leave management functions, ensuring legal, regulatory and compliance requirements including EEO, Fair Labor Standards, Wage and Hour, FMLA, state and local laws, and other regulatory requirements are met.
- Champions and promotes an engaged, inclusive, equitable, and diverse organizational culture.

- Performs additional duties as required for the success of the business.
QUALIFICATIONS
- JD from an accredited law school and/or a bachelor's degree specializing in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Management, Organizational Development, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Seven years of Human Resources or Labor and Employment law experience.
- SPHR or PHR preferred.
- Five years of Senior Leadership experience.
- Strong consulting and leadership skills including negotiation, persuasion, coaching, teaching, influencing, listening and objectivity.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and quickly and dynamically adjust and respond to changing priorities.
- Experience developing, mentoring, and motivating team members to maximize individual and team performance.
- Independent decision making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proactive insight and strategic thinking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to travel (approximately 10-20% of time).
- At least 18 years of age.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
**This role is an on-site role and requires candidates to either reside or be willing to reside in the Greater Seattle Area.
SALARY RANGE: $140,000 - $200,000
SALARY DETAILS : The pay range and total target compensation package is the expected pay offered for this position at the start of employment. Pay will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to location, relevant experience level, and skillset while balancing internal equity to other McGee employees.
