Position Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Administrator for the Community Health Office at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Telehealth, the Finance Program Administrator manages the financial operations of the Telehealth Initiatives (Project ECHO ) in conjunction with the Telehealth Project ECHO Program Core Operations Team, is the lead interface with Rutgers Support Services (HR, Purchasing, Vendor Management, Finance, and Marketing) and is responsible for the overall grant management for the department.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Coordinates the submission of grant and contract proposals to federal, state, foundation, corporate and other sponsors.
• Provides grant application guidance to Telehealth personnel. Prepares the proposal budget in collaboration with the Principal Investigator. Assists with the development of internal policies and procedures regarding grant and contract proposals and applications.
• Provides budget status reports, detailed transaction reports, projections and other reports to the Principal Investigator, Chair and the RWJMS Finance Office. Reconciles and ensures expenditures charged to Project Accounts are accurate.
• Enters and tracks progress of MarketPlace requisitions/purchase orders. 
• Closely monitors salaries charged.
• Closely monitors Project Account balances in order to avoid deficits.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• A minimum of a Bachelors' Degree in Public Health, Education, Social Work, other related Social Science or Science field and at least five (5) years of progressively more responsible professional experience inclusive of day-to-day operational, financial and program management responsibilities in a business office, government agency or university setting. 
• Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
