Job Listing: Intern - Safety & Quality Assurance
Gain valuable hands-on experience in the sports, hospitality, and entertainment industry with this exciting internship opportunity! As an intern, you'll support and collaborate with leaders in the field to help craft exceptional events. This is a remote, flexible position, ideal for currently enrolled college students looking to gain industry knowledge while accommodating their academic schedule. In this role, you will: - Conduct safety, health, sanitation, and food safety audits at event venues. Document and report findings. Assist with developing corrective action plans. - Create job hazard analyses to determine event-specific safety requirements such as engineering controls, equipment needs, machine guarding, PPE, training, and other safety measures. - Analyze incident and near-miss trend data. Make recommendations for risk mitigation strategies and help develop safety improvement initiatives. - Engage with vendors and suppliers to ensure document compliance with safety and quality standards. - Assist with special projects related to safety, sustainability, risk management, and more. - Help maintain safety program documentation and records. - Contribute to creating an amazing event experience and positive work culture through personal commitment, team collaboration, and leading by example. Qualifications/Skills: - Currently enrolled in a college program such as hospitality, food management, communications, human resources, accounting, marketing, or a related field. - Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently and collaboratively. - Excellent customer service aptitude. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Able to easily connect with diverse groups and create positive rapport. - Successful experience interfacing across multiple departments/divisions. - Proficient with tools like Smartsheet and Excel. Additional Requirements: - Ability to work effectively in wet, loud environments. Able to lift up to 50 pounds. - Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
