Job description

The Admissions Counselor is the perfect position for an individual just beginning their career or getting back into the workforce after time away.

The Assisted Living Admissions Counselor will be a compassionate and caring individual who uses their desire to serve others by guiding new residents and families transitioning into our Assisted Living Garden Apartments (ALGAs).   The Assisted Living Admissions Counselor will be responsible for all activities related to the marketing of the ALGAs.  This will include touring prospective residents and families, completing all admission paperwork for new residents, and regularly communicating with the marketing and clinical team about new admissions.  They will report directly to the Vice President of Marketing and Business Strategy. The Assisted Living Admissions Counselor is responsible for maintaining the ALGA census at or above budget by marketing the ALGAs and coordinating all aspects of the new resident move-ins.

Essential Job Duties

  1. Develops new leads, conducts tours, sells apartments, and coordinates move-ins.
  2. Manages all information relating to the prospective resident: communication with administration, communication with the VP of Marketing & Business Strategy, and accurate/timely documentation of all contacts in the CRM lead management software.
  3. Works with prospective residents, family members, and key influencers to facilitate timely and beneficial commitment to the community. This includes frequent personal contact with the prospective resident including, but not limited to, telephone calls, home, or office visits.
  4. Staffs the Sales & Marketing office during business hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
  5. Interacts with other departments assuring that ALGAs are properly prepared for move-in and keeping all pertinent parties apprised of move-in dates and possible adjustments.
  6. Meets all sales and move-in goals as outlined in the annual budget.
  7. Attends off-site events as directed by the VP of Marketing & Business Strategy to represent The Christian Village at Mason.

Qualifications

  1. Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and can communicate and present in person, in writing, and on the telephone effectively in English. Must be an effective presenter with both large and small groups.
  2. College degree is preferred, but not required.
  3. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  4. Some sales experience is preferred but not required.
