Human Resources Specialist, Labor Relations to join their team. This global corporation has been an industry leader for over 50 years and has been consistently recognized for their product quality, business integrity and company culture.
The
Human Resources Specialist, Labor Relations will be an essential part of the local HR team and be a true advocate for the union and hourly staff. This position will collaborate with leadership on driving labor relations initiatives on behalf of the staff. The ideal candidate will be passionate about employee relations and have previous union and manufacturing experience.
Human Resources Specialist, Labor Relations Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees, addressing their concerns and questions professionally and empathetically
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with union representatives, employees, and members of management
- Maintain thorough knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that comply with legal requirements and best practices
- Provide advice and direction to all levels of management on the interpretation, application and administration of collective agreements, legislation, and company policies
Human Resources Specialist, Labor Relations Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 4+ years of experience in human resources experience specific to labor relations
- Manufacturing experience required
- Current working knowledge of legislation, labor law, employment law, human rights law and related areas
- Demonstrated proficiency in HR software and technology
