Job description

Cottonwood Veterinary Clinic LLC’s vision is to continue to be a leading clinic within the Cheyenne community.  We will provide innovative care while maintaining a family environment within the clinic.   We will continue to expand our diagnostic tools while keeping veterinary care affordable to our clients.  We will work hard to balance the demands of work, family and wellness for all our employees. We succeed when we have exceeded our client’s expectations, enriched both our professional and personal lives and have reinvested in our community.

We completed a major renovation in early 2020 with four exam rooms and a spacious lobby.  We are proud to have digital radiography, digital dental radiography, a new ultrasound machine, IDEXX laboratory machines for in house blood work, tonometry, a surgical laser, and a therapeutic laser.

Mentorship is a priority at Cottonwood Veterinary Clinic.  We want to help you succeed and feel comfortable in your practice.   We have a very loyal team and many of the employees have worked together for over 10 years.

Cheyenne is a town of approximately 60,000 people and is home to the Wyoming State Government and Warren Air Force Base.  We are a family friendly town with excellent schools and a safe environment.   Cheyenne has recently opened a small airport with service to Denver that is incredibly convenient.  We are 1.5 hours away from Denver and 30 minutes away from outdoor recreation areas that have great hiking, mountain biking, fishing and cross-country skiing.   We also host the largest outdoor rodeo each summer, Cheyenne Frontier Days.  This 10-day event is a little bit crazy but lots of fun.

Compensation will be based on experience and the number of desired hours to work.  Full time benefits become available if you are working more than 32 hours per week.  Benefits include a health care stipend, vision and dental insurance, $1500 in continuing education benefits plus paid CE days, dues and licensing allowance, SIMPLE IRA program with 3% match, pet discounts, EAP, 6.5 paid holidays and paid vacation and sick leave.

Qualifications include graduation from an AVMA accredited veterinary school, a passing score on the NAVLE and the ability to be licensed in the State of Wyoming.  Applicants must have great communication skills, be highly motivated and willing to work in a team atmosphere.  New graduates are welcome and encouraged.
