Position Summary

Under the direction of a physician and in conjunction with other health care team members, the social worker will play a crucial role in helping individuals enhance their capacities and coping mechanisms, improving their daily lives and experiences. Within specified standards and timescales, you will provide valuable support and guidance, fostering positive change and contributing to the well-being of our community. Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing one or two years of graduate study beyond a Bachelor's degree, such as a Masters in Social Work; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in counseling in a health/mental health environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and State certification as a Social Worker (LMSW). ACSW may be required in order to provide primary supervision of social work students.

Work hours are typically 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM but may vary as necessary to accommodate clinic operations.

Exposure to human blood, serum, and other body fluids; and materials covered under Universal Precautions; TB risk or work within three (3) feet of patients in a health care setting; wear a respirator.
