Position Summary

Support Development & Modernization staff in completing multiple construction projects, working with consulting architects and engineers, and construction firms to administer modernization and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent communications and computer skills, curiosity, and be motivated to serve the public utilizing the skill sets of their chosen profession.

Responsibilities:

• Work 30-40/hours per week, 12-14 weeks between May 1 - September 1, 2024.

• Attend project meetings & construction site visits and document discussion in concise notes, minutes, and reports.

• Apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.

• Perform project/construction management administrative tasks including reviewing design documents and material submittals, assisting with cost estimating, evaluating contractor pricing, organizing project files, and doing other activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Enrollment in accredited Bachelor's or Master's Degree program with coursework in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must (Word, Excel) as well as Google Suite (email, virtual meeting, calendar, etc.)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Goal-oriented self-starter, not afraid to ask questions.
