Job description

NASB is accepting applications for Superintendent of Schools on behalf of Cozad Community Schools. The Cozad Community School District has a PreK program, an after-school program (AfterZone), an alternative education site, and a strong core and exploratory curriculum aligned to the Nebraska State Standards. The district offers a summer school program available to students for additional academic assistance and credit recovery. The district has implemented a one-to-one Initiative for grades K-12 providing 24/7 learning opportunities and increasing student engagement.

Cozad is located 45 miles east of North Platte and 50 miles west of Kearney right along I-80. The PreK-12 enrollment is currently 955 students. Attributes the district seeks for the next superintendent at Cozad would include:

• Prioritize improved student learning and achievement
• Demonstrate budget knowledge or have experience managing a school budget
• Possess leadership skills and confidence to manage a school district
• Complete the building project
