Position Purpose:
The Clinical Implementation Specialist (CIS) supports the business in reaching success and profitability goals by ensuring that clinical program development needs are managed from receipt of purchase order to Go Live week. This is done by implementing and maintaining clinical support, resources, and processes. The CIS supports hospital representatives in developing clinical policies and workflows that lead to a successful launch of the AvaSure Program. The CIS requires no oversite for lower complexity projects and benefits from some oversight for complex customer implementations from Sr. CISs or the CIS Manager. The CIS can work independently on multiple lower complex projects but benefits from little to moderate supervision managing multiple complex projects and varying priorities. This role will start to take on other types of implementation projects outside of TeleSitter.
Education & Experience:
- 5 years of hands-on clinical experience in a hospital setting required.
- Current RN License required.
- 2-4 clinical implementation experience years preferred.
- Nursing experience in CCU/ED/PACU preferred.
- Charge nurse experience and /or expert knowledge on policy, process, and workflow development preferred.
- Demonstrated experience of managing several types of clinical projects of low to moderate complexity and scope independently and minimal to moderate supervision from Manager or Sr. CIS for clinical projects of high complexity and scope.
- Experience in precepting and training new hospital staff and providing support and guidance to all staff members of their team.
- Good judgment, assertiveness and critical thinking skills are important characteristics needed in this role.
- Ability to present information to various audiences - from formal presentations to impromptu knowledge gaps.
- Ability to communicate clinical and technical concepts to end users in a user-friendly, easily understandable manner.
- Strong affinity to understanding new technology.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent Verbal and Non- Verbal Skills in Video Conference settings. (Teams, Zoom, WebEx, etc.,)
- Highly proficient in Dynamics, MS Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to manage time and multi-task effectively.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage shifting priorities effectively.
- Able to think critically from the clinical aspect of project implementations and make appropriate business decisions.
- The CIS can respond to many types of clinical and project implementation situations and can view projects as "wholes" rather than parts. They rely on guidelines, rules, and nuances to guide their actions.
- Knows and understands documented processes and can approach out of the box scenarios customers to complete tasks as directed.
- CISs have learned from experience what events typically occur and how to modify plans accordingly. They see goals and salient facts about projects but still must deliberately/consciously make decisions and still rely on Sr. CIS or management for guidance.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
- Manages clinical implementations for moderately complex AvaSure products with limited oversight and direction for multiple lower-level/moderate-level complexity projects.
- Serves as the clinical contact for the customer after PO is signed.
- Provides presence as clinical champion on implementation project calls and during the implementation process.
- Assists in developing and managing internal clinical resources and process workflows.
- Works with customers to develop a clinical implementation schedule and provides best practice guidance to hospital clinical leads.
- Supports clinical educators while onsite during go live week.
- Follows established company onsite services process.
- Maintains internal clinical records such as hospital data, report cards, results.
- Maintains credentials necessary for onsite visits.
- Leads in some situations and manages through some organizational change.
- Identifies potential issues to a project plan or customer satisfaction and brings it to attention to management or sr. CIS for guidance.

Supervisory Requirements
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Must be able to sit for much of the workday with periodic walking and/or standing.
- Must be able to work in a home office environment.
- Must be available for occasional travel, up to twice a year for a week.
- This position is full-time.
- The position is remote within the U.S. when not traveling.
