Title: HR Generalist

Location: onsite Rockville, MD

Pay Rate: $30-33/hr

Duration: 12-month contract to start, high possibility of converting to a full-time position

 

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate should have recruiting experience, compensation and benefits experience, and preferably have worked in a public trade company or in the biotechnology industry. As an HR Generalist, you will play a critical role in supporting our HR initiatives and ensuring the smooth running of our HR operations.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment:

- Manage the full cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates.

- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and develop effective recruitment strategies.

- Conduct background checks and reference checks to ensure the suitability of candidates.

- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

2. Compensation and Benefits:

- Administer various compensation and benefits programs, including salary benchmarking, performance evaluations, and employee benefits enrollment.

- Provide guidance to employees on compensation and benefits-related matters.

- Assist in the development and implementation of compensation and benefits policies and programs.

- Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.

3. HR Operations:

- Maintain employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

- Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes.

- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

- Handle employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR-related matters.

- Coordinate employee training and development initiatives.

- Contribute to various HR projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist, with a focus on recruiting.

- Experience in compensation and benefits administration is required.

- Previous work experience in a public trade company or in the biotechnology industry is preferred.

- Knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
