Job description
Position Overview: We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer who is highly motivated and experienced in Mechanical Design and SolidWorks. This individual will be responsible for researching, designing and developing solutions for aerospace and flight hardware projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering research, design and development of aerospace and flight hardware projects
- Create technical drawings, bills of material, and product specifications
- Develop and analyze 3D models for design feasibility
- Optimize designs using fluid mechanics, CFD, FEA, stress analysis, and thermal analysis
- Develop and test prototypes to prove designs
- Ensure all designs meet internal and external quality standards
- Stay up to date with industry standards and technologies
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related field
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical design
- Advanced experience with SolidWorks
- Experience with fluid mechanics, CFD, FEA, stress analysis, and thermal analysis is a plus
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
