Job description
We are seeking for an Analytic Modernization Specialist, with experience using JEMA and/or Brewlytics, to process and analyze large datasets, who will use their technical knowledge, experience, and customer-centric focus to create and deliver world-class data modeling content. This is a mission-driven opportunity to support the DoD and Intelligence Community.
This position will support an exciting and interesting mission in a dynamic team environment. The Analytic Modernization Specialist will coordinate with our clients to understand questions and issues, then determine the best method and approach to create data-driven solutions. This position will be relied upon as the Analytic Modernization Specialist, and help others understand JEMA/Brewlytics capabilities and other analytical tools. The Analytic Modernization Specialist, will write scripts, conduct analysis, identify patterns, and use available tools to analyze data and discover hidden patterns to help solve some complex problems that face the DoD and Intelligence Community.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in math or a science-related field or possess at least 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Knowledge of advanced analytic methodologies, and experience in implementing and executing methodologies to enable customer satisfaction
- Demonstrated experience in Geospatial Policies, International Policy, Co-Production, and dissemination of data.
- Demonstrated Intelligence Community experience of working with an integrated team of professionals to satisfy intelligence community intelligence questions by introducing documented analytic methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in data mining and developing/maintaining/manipulating databases.
- Demonstrated experience using GOTS data and analytics capabilities to modernize analytical processes and methodologies
- Experience in using FADE (MIST, INTELBOOK, LINX, and WATCH BOX) to perform analysis and produce analytical discoveries
- Demonstrated experience using COTS statistical software (Map Large, Tableau, MatLab, Brewlytics, or JEMA) for advanced statistical analysis of operational tools and data visualization which enables large datasets to be interrogated and allows for patterns, relationships, and anticipatory behavioral likelihoods that may not be apparent using traditional single discipline means
- Data Visualization Experience which may include Matrix Analytics, Network Analytics, Graphing Data that assist the analytical workforce in generating common operational pictures depicting fused intelligence and information to support informal assessments and finished products
- Conduct GEOINT analysis against issues in mission areas, using various methodologies and Spatio-temporal data derived from imagery, intelligence databases, and other sources. Use understanding of geographic information science and technology, spatial thinking, remote sensing, GIS, intelligence issues, and the social and physical sciences to create information, characterize events, and discover relationships and trends in support of national security.
- Conduct multi-INT research to support or provide background for imagery analysis conducted against mission-specific issues.
- Demonstrated experience in directing activities of highly skilled technical and analytical teams responsible for developing solutions to highly complex analytical/intelligence problems.
- Demonstrated experience in developing new geospatial methods and technologies from an operations research framework.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying systems enhancements, new capabilities, concept demonstrators, and capability business cases.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated experience of advanced programming techniques, using one or more of the following: HTML 5/Javascript, ArcObjects, Python, Model Builder, Oracle, SQL, GIScience, GeospatiavAnalysis, Statistics, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, Arc SDE, ArcIMS.
- Customize ArcGIS templates, Manage ArcGIS Portals, and/or Customize ESRI StoryMap Templates.
- Create shapefiles, geo-databases, and data retrieval/storage to support intelligence analysis
- Experience automating processing utilizing scripting languages such as but not limited to R, Python, JAVA, and HTML.
- Experience using NET, Python, C++, and/or JAVA programming for web interface development and geodatabase development.
- Knowledge and experience of leveraging Structured Observation Management (SOM) tools (STARE, GOWK, CEDALLION, or FCMS) or an understanding of Object-Based Modeling.
- Experience building and maintaining databases of GEOINT and SIGINT or OSINT data related to the area of interest needs.
- Present briefings, provide demonstrations and conduct complex training events (lecture, classroom, and hands-on approaches), which provide students with an understanding of how to perform advanced analytical processes and methodologies.
- Ensure your training approach addresses all levels of user, spanning a variety of different mission applications. Work across the team to ensure the programs are delivering the most effective tools training possible
- Independently engage in efforts to introduce and integrate commercial and government solutions and related methodology into specific customer mission sets. Understand tool functionality as it relates to your customer, and understand the mechanism for recommending tool enhancements to those involved in GOTS/COTS tool development efforts
- Provide research support for analysts producing DoD and Intelligence Community reports and briefings
- Conduct multi-INT research to support or provide background for imagery analysis conducted against mission-specific issues
- Extract and acquire geospatial information, derivative information, and multi-INT data for analysis, visualization, and modeling to address mission-specific intelligence issues
- Produce descriptive and/or predictive analyses and communicate findings, as written, visual, and/or oral geospatial intelligence

- Produce non-standard and/or informal products, which require little to no editing, including, but not limited to graphics, infographics, maps, and briefings tailored to mission-specific issues
- Provide timely, relevant, accurate GEOINT analysis of military, regime, and humanitarian issues related to countries and issues in mission areas to policymakers, allied organizations, military, and the IC
- Publish formal written products, which require little to no editing, including, but not limited to, Cedalion database remarks, baseline descriptions, and GEOINT Notes.
