Profile Summary: We are seeking an intern who will support Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) and Audit projects. This includes the execution of the ICFR testing process including evaluation of internal controls, testing activities, monitoring issue resolution, reporting activities, and risk assessments for assigned areas. This role assumes accountability for specific segments / projects and will get exposure to members of the Financial Controls Risk (FCR) and Internal Audit teams at Resolution Life U.S.
Profile Description: - Executes the test of design and test of effectiveness of business processes and systems.
- Completes testing by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and verifying information. This information is examined to determine whether records and reports contain accurate, dependable, timely, and complete information, and to determine whether controls over records, reports and documentation are adequate and effective.
- Documents the procedures executing in testing controls and participates in the preparation of detailed workpapers that include detailed issues, evidence, and associated risk.
- Schedules assignments and manages workload with supervision based on agreed upon deadlines.
- Completes testing and walkthrough work papers with supervision in accordance with defined standards.
- Administrative tasks as assigned.
Education and Experience: - Incoming sophomores to incoming juniors
- Ability to work part-time (approx. 15-20 hrs/week) during the semester and full-time during the summer.
- Business Administration - Finance, Accounting, or Risk Management Majors preferred.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA requirement
