Job Summary: The MCAA Director will be responsible for the management, long-term planning, and enrollment growth of the Academy.

Primary Responsibilities:- Plan and launch new MCAA programs for potential area students and teachers across the state
- Work with Program Directors to recruit program participants, ensure the long-term health and viability of each program, and seek opportunities to make continuous improvements to each program
- Identify and manage Millikin student Performance Learning opportunities within each of the MCAA programs
- Provide grant-writing support for the entire College of Fine Arts, including MCAA
- Build a strong presence for the MCAA on social media platforms
- Rebuild the MCAA marketing strategy to ensure that marketing efforts are current and reaching the target population)
- Oversee the MCAA budget (with some bookkeeping assistance from the Financial Coordinator of Performing Arts)
- Collaborate with Millikin College of Fine Arts faculty to build relationships with area schools via outreach events and festivals
- Serve as liaison to the Symphony Orchestra Guild of Decatur, the Decatur Area/Illinois Arts Councils, the Decatur Parks District, and Decatur area schools
