Job Title: Supply Chain Manager (Sales Inventory Operations Planning)
Location: 1785 Voyager Avenue, Simi Valley, CA 93063
Pay Rate Range: $120,000-$135,000/year plus 10% annual bonus
Duration: Permanent
Position Summary
• The SIOP Manager will be responsible for implementing and ensuring the effective delivery of the Site's SIOP and Operational Planning processes. They will be operationally accountable for delivering improving business and operational performance (Customer Delivery, Inventory Optimization, Productivity, and supporting Profit and Revenue growth).
• The role will own the Site's SIOP process ensuring that there is cross-functional input and accountability at each stage of the process to deliver aligned and feasible long term demand and supply plans. The role will be accountable developing long term planning scenarios allowing the Executive leadership to create action plans and make decisions that improve operational performance and delivery to the customer.
• They will manage and drive the execution of the SIOP plans into the short term Operational Planning horizon. They will own the Master Supply Plan and Production Scheduling processes that balance available resources at the optimum cost to deliver best possible on-time and in-full to the customer requirements.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process delivering cross-functionally aligned, achievable long-term demand and supply plans. Ensure a disciplined and continuously improving process that allows for executive-level action planning and decision-making
• Facilitation of the Site's long-term Demand Plan ensuring input and accountability from the key stakeholders in developing and approving the plan. Develop methods to model demand changes and their impact on the Site operations
• Facilitation of the Site's short-term (Operational Planning) and long-term (SIOP) Supply Plan through developing the Site's Master Supply Plan and Production Schedules. Balance load and capacity and inventory investments to best meet the customer plans at optimum costs. Develop methods to respond quickly to changes in plan and improve performance delivery to internal and external stakeholders
• Support for Divisional / Product Group level Executive S&OP meetings. The role will consolidate inputs from the Site S&OP meetings and provide the leadership team with the chance to manage key risks and opportunities, take action on off-track performance measures and provide top down guidance for implementation into the Site plans. The role will be accountable for the quality of the inputs and outputs and that all decisions and actions plans are tracked and executed to plan.
• Ensure that Root Cause Analytics and Corrective Actions methods are used to drive improved performance
• Specific Site level 'special projects' to support S&OP implementations with on-site management activities. Design, implement and embed changes to a Site process i.e. Demand Review
• Ensure that the Site's Planning processes align to Group procedures and that continuous improvement plans are in place to enable ongoing development of process and system capability
• Build team capability through the effective application of training, coaching, and hiring methods
Supervisory Scope
• Direct Reports: Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources
• Indirect Reports: May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports
• Financial Responsibility: This role will have a Cost Savings & Profit growth target
Required Education:
• A Bachelor's degree is required
• APICS CPIM preferred
• Min 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain Planning
• CIPS or APICS Qualification.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities List
• Previous Sales & Operations Planning and Operational Planning experience within other organizations, with a focus on Demand Planning, Master Production Scheduling and Production Scheduling
• Strong understanding and experience in influencing end to end Supply Chains and overall business performance
• Experience of developing and leading an organization's Sales & Operations Planning process (experience within a manufacturing environment preferred)
• Aerospace & Defense or related industry experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to drive key metrics improvement (i.e. Customer Delivery, Inventory Optimisation, Forecast Accuracy, Productivity) through effective Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action methods
• Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement projects driving sustaining process and performance improvements
• Experience of working within and developing the usage and capability of ERP (SAP preferred) and Supply Chain Planning software tools
• High-level analytical skills, with the ability to identify and provide recommendations to resolve end-to-end planning bottlenecks and constraints
• Ability to develop and lead high-performing teams
• Ability to influence senior-level cross-functional stakeholders creating process change and aligned decision making
• Ability to visualize and plan objectives and goals strategically.
• Ability to prioritize resources and workloads to resolve short term priorities while retaining focus on long-term strategic plans
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web browsers
